With that they also have to secure their network system by establishing policies and defining & monitoring access.

The salary for a regular network engineer ranges from $59,994 to $77,976 with the average base salary of $67,424 whereas a senior network engineer's salary ranges from $54,000 to $158,500.

Education required

The education that you need in order to become a network engineer is a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or computer engineering depending on the role that you want.

My take

I think that this is a career field that I want to go into. I've already got the fundementals down and I like this kind of stuff. I wanna help manage networks for big companies and even be the main admin. With a career like this I'd earn a good salary while doing something that I love.
